BAR BROADWAY

Brief: The challenge was to evolve the existing logo into something modern and memorable, while still honouring its origins. The client requested a bird motif to bring a sense of uniqueness and playfulness, appealing to a younger audience. An owl was chosen to symbolise the hotel’s late-night character, reflecting its lively atmosphere and reputation for staying open into the early hours of the morning

Room Information Signage

Brief: When the NSW Government introduced stronger signage laws on 1 September 2023 to ban external gambling-related signs including terms like “VIP Lounge”, “Golden Room”, “Players’ Room”, and imagery such as dragons or coins, the hotel was required to restate its visual language. My task was to redesign all VIP signage and under-awning signs to comply with these laws, remove any prohibited content, and instead emphasise hotel trading hours. The signage needed to be clear, on-brand, and help customers easily understand when the venue is open, while eliminating all references to VIP or gaming cues.
